Why do we get Skin tags removal in Nottingham?

Skin tag Removal in Nottingham involves removing soft, skin-coloured growths on the skin. They are very common, usually small, and harmless.

Is it a skin tag removal?

Skin tags are generally the same colour as the rest of your skin or slightly darker. They can appear as if they are hanging off the skin. They usually do not cause pain and are typically harmless.

Skin tags commonly develop in areas where your skin rubs together or has skin folds.

This means they typically appear:

– on your neck
– under your arms
– on your eyelids
– under your breasts
– around your bottom

Skin tags range in size from around 2mm to 5cm. You may get one, or you may get a large group of them.

Differences between skin tags, warts and moles

Skin tags can be mistaken for warts or moles, but they differ.

Warts are usually found on the hands and feet. They are firm, raised off the skin, and have a rough surface.
Moles are commonly found on skin areas exposed to the sun. Depending on your skin tone, they come in various colours, such as pink, light brown, brown, or darker brown. Moles are usually flat and have a round or oval shape. Please get advice when you have a skin tag that gets bigger, becomes painful, starts bleeding, and develops into lots of skin tags. We provide skin tag removal in Nottingham.

Treatment for skin tags

Skin tags do not need to be removed, but if they’re causing problems, they can be removed:

  • Laser using heat and Plasma
  • by freezing them with Cryotherapy or Cryogen
  • by cutting them off with a surgical blade or scissors

Once a skin tag is removed, it does not usually return.

Removing skin tags can cause scarring or darken the skin (hyperpigmentation) where the tag is, particularly on black or brown skin. These effects are usually temporary, although they can sometimes be permanent.

Information:
