The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Beauty Therapy is a vocational qualification designed for learners who want to develop advanced beauty therapy skills and progress their career in the industry. Course Structure
To achieve this qualification, learners must complete a set of mandatory units and then choose specialist units from one of two main pathways:

Electrical Facials Route

Mandatory Units (all learners must complete):

Route Options
Massage Route
Learners following the massage pathway will complete advanced massage techniques designed to meet industry demand. Units may include:
Provide body massage treatments
Provide Indian head massage
Provide massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils
Provide stone therapy treatments
This route is ideal for those who wish to specialise in massage therapies and pursue opportunities in spas, wellness centres, or holistic practices.
Electrical Facials Route
Learners focusing on facial electrical treatments will study advanced techniques using specialist salon equipment. Units may include:
Provide facial electrical treatments
Provide microdermabrasion treatments
Provide body electrical treatments
Electrical epilation (hair removal techniques)
This route is suited to learners interested in developing advanced technical skills, particularly for roles in clinical or results-driven salon environments.
Qualification Details
Total Qualification Time (TQT): 350 hours
Course Duration: Approximately 16–20 weeks (depending on study mode)
Enrolment: Open all year round
Cost: £1,600 (including tuition and assessments) For Combine Massage and Electrical route is £2100.
Awarding Body: VTCT (Vocational Training Charitable Trust)
Progression Opportunities
On completion, learners will be qualified at Level 3 and can work as a professional beauty therapist in salons, spas, health clubs, or as a self-employed practitioner.
